Wonderful Christmas TAG ~ Blogmas #10

For the past hour I have spent ages browsing the internet for a Christmas-sy tag to do and this one was my favourite I came across! I really enjoyed answering the questions and they got me even more excited for Christmas WOO!
If you are reading this then I tag YOU; let me know in the comments below if you have done a Christmas tag on your blog or YouTube so I can check it out!

1. On a scale of 1-10 how much are you in the Christmas mood?
At the moment I am probably about an 8, I break up from school tomorrow so I feel I can start getting excited but thinking of all the homework I have to do over the holidays just makes me want to cry hahah!

2. When wrapping presents is it a fail or are you a pro?
Hmmmm I think I'm more of a pro as I really enjoy doing it although I can get frustrated when the shape of the gift is awkward! I can't wait until I'm older and I have more presents to wrap in cool paper, ribbons, bows; you know the full works!

3. When did you put your Christmas decorations up and do you do anything special while putting them up?
We put our decorations up the first weekend of December and whilst doing it we always have Elf on in the background, lights the Christmassy candles then order a Dominoes Pizza for another Christmas film afterwards.

4. Do you get dressed up or stay in your pjs on Christmas day?
When opening my presents from my parents we are always in PJs, then we normally have a full fry up. After that we get dressed up as we always have family round. I love dressing up on Christmas day because I love using my new make up bits and wearing something snazzy I have recently purchased!

5. What would be your dream place to go during the Christmas season?
I would love to go to Australia one year as we have family out there but also because the weather is completely different to the UK so it would be really cool! I have never been skiing before but I always see people that go at Christmas time and it looks soooo cute and cosy so I would probably add that to my list of dream places to vists!

6. What is your Christmas tree decorated like?
This year we had our lounge re-decorated from purple to grey and yellow so that meant we had to go shopping for new decorations which was so fun! This year we have silver tinsel and ribbons, silver bells and mini baubles, glass birds and stars and a metal silver angel!

7. Can you name all of Santa's Reindeers? ( without googling )
Errrrrm- Rudolph, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Cupid, Dasher, Comet? *googles* Well 7/9 not bad then!

8. Are you on the naughty list or the nice list this year? ( be honest )
I hope I'm on the nice list every year!

9. Name three things you love to do coming up to Christmas?
1. Eat the Christmas nibbles and make hot chocolates
2. Watch Christmas films whilst decorating and wrapping
3. Get really into the soaps and have cosy evenings

10. Any Christmas Wishes?
For everyone I love to smile!

11. Name 10 Christmas songs you love?
This is a question that seemed easier than I thought haha!

1. All I Want For Chrsitmas Is You (ULTIMATE FAVE)
2. Last Christmas
3. One More Sleep
4. I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday
5. Santa Baby
6. Fairytale of New York
7. White Christmas
8. Driving home for Christmas
9. Jingle Bells
10. Silent Night

12. Name 3 Christmas movies you love?
1. Elf
2. Nativity
3. Love Actually

13. Do you like white lights or coloured?
Definitely white! They look so pretty and magical, like sparkly snow haha!

14. Which do you like a little better, Christmas day or Christmas eve?
Probably Christmas Day because you see more people, eat more food, the 1 hour Eastenders and Corrie episodes are on and it all just feels super cosy *squeals*

15. What is your favourite Christmas make-up look to wear?
I normally opt for a gold or nude simple light smokey eye look with some winged liner and a bold lip!

16. Right now as your answering these questions, how long is it till Christmas?
ONE WEEK!

17. Do you have any presents that you open on Christmas eve?
On Christmas Eve we all go to the local town's carol service then open new Christmas PJS

18. Name three things on your Christmas list?
1. Cupcake book
2. Benefit cheek set
3. Marc Jacobs - Daisy

19. Your having a down day, Your not in the Christmas mood. What do you do to change your mood and become Christmas happy?
Use a Christmas bath bomb, light some Christmassy candles, pop on the fairy lights, make myself a hot chocolate with all the works; cream, marshmallows the lot then watch a Christmas film in bed.

20. What is the best thing on your plate when you have your Christmas dinner?
This is sooooo hard because roasts are my favourite dinners but probably the pigs in blankets or potatoes or yorkshire puddings I JUST LOVE IT ALL!

I hope you enjoyed today's post; let me know if you have done a Christmassy TAG in the comments below or answer one of the questions in the comments!

My Christmas Wishlist 2014 ~ Blogmas #7

Hello there, I hope you've been enjoying Blogmas so far! Today I will be talking about what's on my Christmas Wishlist this year.
[Just a quick disclaimer to say that I am not bragging at all as I definitely won't get everything on this list but I have seen a lot of other Bloggers and YouTubers doing things like this and I really enjoy to watch/read them as it gives me ideas for mine but also for anything I might like to buy for others or myself if I save up ]
wishlist2014
*Collage made on Polyvore click to be directed to my page to find prices/sites*
It took me ages to come up with ideas for my list this year as not much caught my eye in the shops and I didn't have much time to do an in depth search online as I have been fairly busy with school work. I also got a Macbook Air for my Birthday back in September so part of it was for Christmas too so there isn't a 'main present' I have been dreaming of this year.

  •  I have been experimenting a lot more with eye make up this year so I have asked for the Real Techniques Eye Starter Set so I don't have to keep washing the same 4 brushes I have haha!
  • For that reason I also I put down the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette, although I own the Naked 1, I think the Naked 2 has more usable shades for my eye colour.
  • Following on with the make up theme, I spent ages at the local Benefit counter lusting over their Christmas gift sets (which seem to get better every year I must add) and decided to put the Cheeky Sweet Spot set which has a selection of the box blushes, the hoola bronzer and watts up highlighter for an astounding price! I haven't been much of a cheek product kind of girl but this would encourage me to experiment so much more!
  • The final make up product on my list was the Mac lipstick in Velvet Teddy, this has been sold out everywhere but a girl can dream hey!
  • I really need a new everyday perfume as the ones I got last Christmas ran out last month so I have had to break into my favourite Cheryl one. I love most scents but have my eye on Marc Jacobs - Daisy Eau so Fresh this year!
  • I am a total bath girl so I would love any Lush or Soap and Glory bits to add to the collection.
  • Alexa Chung's book 'IT' has also made its way onto my list as I have seen so many great reviews and would love to check it out myself.
  • This year I have loved baking; my friend and I try to have a what we call 'Mary and Paul Day' every couple of months where we get together and bake a few things. We have loved baking cupcakes the most which is why I have put the Hummingbird Bakery and Lusia Zissman Wicked Cupcakes cookbook on my list!
  • This year I brought my first pair of Converse after I finally decided it was time to throw out my Vans after my toes began to come through the front of the right shoe haha! You can't go wrong with a simple all black pair which is why I popped them on the list.
  • Finally I knew I had to put a couple of DVDs down as you do every year. This year I have chosen a couple of romcoms I wasn't able to watch in the cinema but also some classic Disney films (I was a sucker for the new shiny packaging). The original cartoon Alice in Wonderland has always been my favourite Disney film but I just never thought to pick it up so I have put it on my list this year.

That concludes todays post, I hope you enjoyed it and perhaps got some ideas to add to your Christmas list! As always check out my social media links and comment below what the Top 3 gifts on your list are!

Christmas Party Outfit Ideas ~ Blogmas #6

Evening all! It is Wednesday which means it is time for a What I Wear Wednesday post! Today I bring to you my first look book / outfit post so excuse the terrible posing, not very appropriate background and rather badly shot photos as the self timer function was my only friend during the making of this post haha; (I promise, future outfit posts will be much better!) Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy and comment below what you like to wear to parties in the festive season!
[BTW I am wearing Rimmel Kate 107 on my lips]

OUTFIT 1 - Patterned Dress

I'm sure pretty much everyone has something tartan in their wardrobes at this time of year; mine is in the form of this gorgeous New Look Dress which cost me £19.99 which I think is so reasonable! New Look have a vast range of Tartan dresses at the moment (6 pages on the website to be exact) so I really recommend checking them out! Personally I think a patterned dress such as this is a staple for the season as they can be dressed up so easily with tights, heels and some jewellery but also dressed down if you fancy rocking a 'casual yet smart' look!

OUTFIT 2 - Midi Skirt

Last year I wouldn't even approach a midi / tube skirt but over the past few months I have been loving them! As I am short I was never able to find one to suit me and I thought they would make me look larger than I am because of the shape however once I tried one on it was a completely different story! Although I have had to take a couple up, I really love the way they look; they fit so well, are all reasonably priced so won't break the bank and are the easiest pieces to style! This Floral Textured Skirt from Matalan (NOW £7.00) is no exception! I had my eye on this for a while before I picked it up as the colours just reminded me of Autumn and Winter. This month I have worn it quite a lot with this Bottle Green Scallop Frill Tee from Topshop for £16.00.

OUTFIT 3 - A Coloured Kimono

The Kimono bandwagon is something I have completely jumped aboard this year and don't regret at all! I think my collection totals about 6 or 7 now and I love them all because I can literally wear them with everything! This Long Line Kimono from Matalan completely caught my eye particularly for the Winter months. My favourite way to pair it for a night out has been with this simple strappy black dress from H&M that I brought back in July! Sadly it is no longer available but I definitely recommend picking up a plain black as they are excellent for all seasons because they are so versatile!

OUTFIT 4 - Jeans

My final outfit idea is a nice pair of jeans; simple yet effective! I got these white ones from H&M (which aren't on the website) for a bargain at only £9.99 and love to pair them with a  striped or black top! It looks like you've put so much effort into your outfit even when you really can't be bothered haha! This top can be found in Matalan for £3.00. If you want to jazz up the outfit even more, wear it with heeled boots and perhaps a statement necklace.

That's all for today but check back on Friday for the next Blogmas post! Don't forget to check out my social media accounts which are always linked at the top of my page and comment below what you wear to Christmas parties!

TBT: WINTER WONDERLAND 2013 ~ Blogmas # 3

Heya! As it's Thursday, this means it is time for a Throw-Back Thursday but a Winter edition!

Back in December last year my parents took my brother and I to Winter Wonderland which I believe is held every year in Hyde Park, London. I am pretty sure that I have been years ago when I was much younger but ever since the last Christmas I have been pestering Mum and Dad to take us again and the fact you are reading this post must mean my moaning paid off;) (((YES)))

So as a lover of all things cute and festive when it comes to this time of year I was absolutely buzzing throughout the whole day and took some great pictures to share with you all; so keep reading to find out what I got up to:)

Here are probably the cutest pancakes ever! I think they were German but all that mattered was that they were covered in hot melted Nutella and icing sugar; yum....!
...and on the subject of good food, these chips were honestly the best chips EVER! I saw people eating them near the start when we entered and the looked and smelt amazing; so at lunch time I was determined to go back and try them (the only problem was that I could not exactly remember where the stall was so we spent 20 minutes walking left when it turned out we were supposed to be going in the opposite direction oops hahaha!)
After lunch we went to 'The Magical Ice Kingdom' which was a walkthrough building with loads of incredible ice sculptures, from animals and plants to a palace with a slide and even a cocktail bar with awesome flarers; there was something for everyone.

After the Ice Kingdom we had a chance to go up in the Big Wheel which was like a smaller version of the London Eye. I'm so glad it was a bright and gorgeous because it meant we could see across the whole park and over the London skyline which was soooo cool! I have been on the London Eye a few times and up the Shard before so it was nice to see the city from a different view! One of my favourite things about it was that they had a 'Christmas Radio' on in the cabins playing some fab Christmas tunes so I could not resist a sing along!

All the restaurants, bars and stalls were so cute; this reindeer head singing my Grandad's favourite Christmas song 'Driving home for Christmas' made me laugh so much, I had to take a picture!
My last and favourite thing we did was go Ice Skating. It was my idea to book a slot in the evening as I thought it would be extra Christmassy and magical if we could skate as it got darker because that is when all the lights come on and the trees look especially pretty! We were not allowed to take photos on the ice for safety reasons but I managed to get a shot in the queue to go on and it is without a doubt my favourite one of the day!

If you ever get a chance to go I really recommend booking an evening slot for the skating as it was such a special experience to leave the day on too!As the evening got colder, the park came alive with dainty lights and warm scents and we left on a high feeling even more excited for Christmas to arrive!

I hope you enjoyed my first proper Throwback Thursday post; let me know in the comments below! Sadly I have not had any free weekends to go back this year but next year me and my friends are planning to go together! Have any of you been to a Winter Wonderland?
If you would like to get updates for my Blogmas posts follow me on Bloglovin' :)
See you on Saturday for the next post!

Advent and Exciting Events ~ Blogmas # 2

Hello again!
It's the 2nd of December and today I've got a quick post for you about my advent calendar and some exciting events that I've got coming up this month!

Although last year I said to myself I would save up for one of the cut Benefit ones, as per usual and inconveniently they were brought out when I didn't have enough money *I say as a small tear rolls down my cheek*. This year I have a Dairy Milk advent calendar, might not be make up but still a classic which I know I will enjoy every day!

Christmas day traditions are changing a little for me this year as my family and I are going to a family friends' house for Christmas lunch when we usually stay in which I am very excited about. Obviously we will see family in the morning and spend time with them on Boxing Day too!
Meanwhile, until the 19th I have school (sad times) and lots of coursework drafts to get in which although is stressful now, will allow me a lovely rest over the half term! This month brings my Nan and Brother's Birthdays and the beginning of January come 3 of my best friends which means lots of parties; YAY! I also have some movie evenings planned with my friends and a couple of cheeky shopping sprees with a chance to visit some Christmas markets! I'm looking forward to doing some Christmas baking, wearing berry lips and glittery nails for the whole month, going wandering with my camera, having the chance to fill in some more of my scrapbook whilst listening to Christmas music (the spotify playlist is ready!) and my favourite thing of all; the Christmas TV Specials!

Let me know what advent calendar have you gone for this year and what you look forward to most about December?

Oops... another haul!

I know it wasn't long ago since I did a haul however I went shopping last weekend as I have had such a busy few weeks with school work that I fancied treating myself (and I had watched too many lush hauls and couldn't resist not stocking up) so today I will be sharing what I have purchased with you all! (I have linked as many items up to their sites so if you would like to read further or purchase for yourself then go ahead!)

~ Dress £19.99
Another wonderful New Look trip for my wardrobe but not my bank balance! Although I only purchased this tartan dress, I am completely in love and can't wait to wear it this season as it is so practical, such an amazing quality and finally I have found something that suits my short little self. It is black/navy with burgundy and dark blue stripes through. So far I have loved to pair it with tights, my black furry coat and depending on the occasion, either my black block heels or shiny dolly shoes.

~Kimono £18
I then went to Matalan where I picked up this gorgeous winter florals kimono which I have had my eye on for a while. My kimono collection has grown very quickly over the past 3 months but I just love how easy they are to style with dresses, skirts, shorts, jeans, etc; brilliant! I bought a blood orange, black and white kimono from Matalan back in the summer and got so many compliments on the quality and print (and a bonus was that nobody else had it haha) so I decided to keep an eye on the website for when they brought out some for Winter and they definitely have not disappointed; go check out the website for more! (not on the website but here is the link to the orange one http://www.matalan.co.uk/womens/shop-by-category/tops/kimonos/s2577258/floral-print-kimono )

I have not been to Primark for ages but as my local one is always super busy, I only went in for a couple of things.
~Jumper £12
The first thing I picked up was this 'popcorn' style oversized jumper with a lace trim. I have seen so many people on YouTube buy/style this and I absolutely loved it when I saw it, so when it appeared in my local Primark I knew I couldn't leave it! A lot of jumpers don't always suit my shape and never look good when I tuck them in so I tend to go for anything patterned or oversized. I love the fit of this and am so happy I picked it up as it has totally lived up to my expectations!

~Kimono £5
Oooops... surprise surprise another kimono! This wasn't intentional BUUUT I saw it on the sale-rail reduced from £15 to £5 and just couldn't resist as I was going to buy it in the summer anyway (haha). I love how unique the colour is in the gorgeous lace detailing. A great layering piece for winter but also can be used as a throw over in the summer!

(I also picked up a grey-with-a-furry-bobble hat for £2.50 but couldn't take a photo of it because my dog kept trying to chew the bobble on top hahah. However, I will wear it in some of my winter OOTD's which you will be able to see during Blogmas *cue cheers* and on my personal Instagram- lifeofyasmin (plugs galore in this paragraph sorry hahah) so ya moving on...)

~Jeans £10
H&M is another shop where I always seem to find something in and this time it was a pair of light wash, ripped skinny jeans. I used to absolutely hate wearing jeans but since I have been at Sixth Form they have been a must, especially now it has got colder. I've seen a lot of people wearing ripped ones but could never justify spending 30+ pounds for a pair of Topshop ones just yet! When I was browsing the sale-rail, these caught my eye and for just £10 reduced from £30, what an absolute bargain! They are slightly long but it is nothing a bit of folding up the cuffs couldn't sort out!

I then popped into HMV to pick up Cheryl's new album Only Human for £12.99 I know a lot of people don't buy physical album copies anymore but for me, theres nothing better than buying my favourite album's on 'proper' CD!

I also went into Boots to pick up a new foundation as sadly my trusty MAC Studio Fix had run out so  I decided to go for one of the new ones by Rimmel which was £7.99. I then spent what my mum said felt like hours swatching all the new lip products but finally settled on a Maybelline Color Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil in the shade 310 Berry Much for £4.99 as I have had my eye on it for quite a while. As it was 3 for 2 (thank you boots) I decided to pick up the Stay Matte Powder which was £3.99 as mine had just run out that morning!

The main reason I went to town was to restock on Lush bits for winter as I am a total bath person and use a bath bomb/bar every Sunday to get me restored for the week. I decided to pick up the Luxury Lush Pud - £3.50, The Butter Bear - £1.95 and Twilight - £3.35 which I am really excited to try as I haven't got a chance to try any of them yet since one only opened up in my local town earlier this year!

Finally, I went for a quick browse around Tiger where I got this Acrylic Lipstick Holder for only £3 to hold my MAC lipsticks in as I really like how they look on show on my desk!

I hope you have enjoyed this evenings post and are looking forward to me starting/attempting Blogmas (which will we a post every other day as I am at school)! Comment below anything you've bought recently! Speak to you tomorrow!

These Are A Few Of My Favourite Things: October-November

Normally people would do their monthly favourites at the start or end of the month in question but because I have been using a lot of the same things I had only just chosen/completed the list of my October favourites and when I went to write a post on it I realised we were already 2 weeks into November! So anyway enough of the rambling, today I am going to be talking about a variety of things I having been loving over the past few weeks. I hope you enjoy the way I have chosen different categories for my favourites posts too!

-Food/Drink:
Recently I have been drinking lots of smoothies but as they take a while to make (preparing, buzzing, washing up you know the drill) I having been loving these Innocent Smoothie - Tubey Smoothies which are basically smoothies in squeezable tubes like yoghurts; how cute! They're so easy to pick up, eat anywhere and count as one of your five-a-day so make great healthy snacks... sadly I don't think there is much of wide flavour variety at the moment but my favourite thing about them is that you can freeze them so they make smoothie ice lollies; brilliant!

-Scent:
Now Summer has (but is still kind of) ending, it means it is time to put away the fresh, sweet body mists and swap them for the perfumes! I was never really a perfume person but since I got Cheryl (
Fernandez-Versini's Stormflower for my Birthday (to read more click here) I have been wearing it non-stop. It is such a unique yet gorgeous scent and I get so many compliments when I wear it that sometimes people can't believe it is a celebrity fragrance rather than a top expensive one!

-Make-Up:
Make-Up wise I have gone back to an old favourite with MAC's Mineralize Skin-Finish Highlighter in the shade Soft and Gentle I always find that I use this more in the Winter and Spring most as it really makes your face look fresh and glow-y which is fabulous as the cold weather tends to make your skin feel dry and therefore look duller, however in the Summer sometimes it just makes me look way too shiny! Now its hit the cold weather and I have had to get up at 6 for school, it has been a must in my everyday make-up routine!

-Fashion:
Since I've been in the Sixth Form and wearing my own clothes I have had so many chances to find new fashion favourites so if you would like I might do a whole post on my school fashion favourites?! But over the past few weeks I have loved to accessorise with a selection of Rings. Rings are great because there is something for everyone; from simple to bling-y, big to small, novelty to classic and in so many colours they are the perfect way to spice up any outfit!

-Activity:
I had a two week half term break in October/November which was filled with  homework but in between I found myself Baking quite a lot! I picked up this mini 'Bake for Britain' book when I went to Center-Parcs earlier this month but I'm sure you can pick it up on Amazon or something maybe? I was first drawn to the cute colours on the cover but when I looked inside to see it was full of easy, simple recipes I knew I had to pick it up as I am more of a baking-girl than a meal-cooker haha; hopefully I will be able to do some posts on some of my bakes in the coming weeks!

-Listen:
Apart from this favourite, music this month has not really been great for me, I have found myself going back to listening to old classics on the bus like S Club (ahead of the Children in Need reunion) and Bastille which threw me right back to Summer when I listened to it on the way home from my exams! Anyway, this month Cheryl released her new album, Only Human and oh my god I absolutely love it! You may say I am biased because she is my all time favourite but I could seriously listen to this album all day without skipping a track (and I did actually do that the day I got it) as it is just amazing and definitely waiting 2 years for! My favourite 3 songs so far are Throwback, Only Human and Firecracker!

-Hair:
The past month I have been trying out new ways to wear my hair; plaited, curly, extremely straight, wavy etc etc but as it is rather long it means it is heavy and therefore doesn't have much volume on the top! But this is when the L'Oreal TXT Spray which is basically a hairspray that gives texture and volume. I have loved this for creating lift to the parts of my hair that are falling a bit flat and giving my hair a bit more texture. The bonus is that is smells insanely good so brownie points to L'Oreal for their amazing smelling products as per usual!

-Body:
My body favourite this month has been one that I stole from my Mum the other week because it smells in-credible that it mysteriously kept ending up in my room. It is a Victoria's Secret Body Lotion in the scent Forbidden Fantasy and there isn't really anything else to say apart from it smells lush and makes my skin feels super soft and fresh.

-Read:
I'm not really the biggest fan of novels or books in general so tend to stick to more factual reads or magazines. This month I have found myself in bed extra early so I have some time to relax and read blogs on Bloglovin', I find it so fun to read so many different writing styles, opinions and experiences  from all over the world. Bloglovin' is free to sign up to and an easy site/app to use; if you want to follow my blog on there then click this link this means you will stay up to date with all my posts and be notified when any new ones go live!

-Watch:
Finally onto my watch of the month/s which has been Coronation Street! I have been so busy this month with work and school but have always loved soaps and Corrie has been the only TV show that I have actually been keeping up to date with recently! There's just something about it that makes it unmissable for me, I don't know whether it is the fact that it makes me laugh at the most random times, if it is the story lines which keep me hooked or the fact that the actors and actresses just play the characters so well! If you don't watch it you are missing out big time haha!

That's it for my recent favourites today; I hope you enjoyed it, hopefully the next one will actually be a monthly favourites haha and are having a lovely Saturday! Watch out because tomorrow will be my Top 5 Autumn Nail Varnishes. As usual don't forget to check out my social media bits which are always tabbed at the top of each page but for the frequently asked ones they will be listed now ... (Instagram- littleworldofyasmin and lifeofyasmin // Twitter- lifeofyasmin) Comment below or tweet me what your recent favourites are as I am always willing to try new things out!

The Throwback Tag

Hey there and welcome to todays post, the first in my Thursday series that I am naming 'Throwback Thursdays' (original I know haha) but these posts are going to be mostly lifestyle related and the place to share things that I've done. This is why I thought the Throwback Tag would be a great way to kick off the Thursday posts!

When I was very very young, my Mum wrote notes about me to read years later and kept them in this baby album so a lot of my answers to this tag have been found using these!

1. What year were you born in?
I was born in September 1997

2. Share a couple of your favourite baby photos?
*my scanner was broken and lighting is too dark so will upload some photos tomorrow!*

3. What TV shows did you watch?
In the notes that my Mum has written there are countless amounts of TV shows mentioned but the ones that appear most are The Tweenies, Winnie the Pooh and Mopatop's Shop.

4. What did you want to do as a job?
When I was younger I went through a phases of wanting to be a teacher, a photographer, a writer and the most vivid of all was a ballroom and latin dancer which probably stemmed from the fact I have always watched and loved Strictly Come Dancing even though I only ever took 1 dance lesson.

5. Do you have any funny videos?
A lot of the videos my Parents and Grandparents have are on tapes and 'proper' videos but nobody has the players anymore so I sadly I don't have any for this post but hopefully we will get them converted soon and then I will be able to share some of the best ones with you.

6. What were you favourite toys?
I remember I loved Stuart Little and I had a tiny toy of him that would come everywhere with me but also a big version that I would sleep with. I also loved dolls and had tonnes of Barbies and Bratz that I loved to style and do their hair.

7. Do you remember any embarrassing moments?
I can't remember many but one that stands out the most was when I was about 4 years old walking back to my Nan's from the sweet shop with my older cousins I fell over into some dog poo and didn't stop crying until we got back as all they did was laugh at me.

8. Share something you wrote during nursery?

9. What 3 songs remind you of your childhood?
Both my parents used to work so when I was on school holidays I would often go to my Nan's house and on the way home my Dad would always play 'Three is a Magic Number' by Embrace as it was his favourite song. Another would be Girls Aloud 'Sound of the Underground' as it was the first 'CD single' I ever bought, I still have it now and Girls Aloud ended up being the heroes of my childhood. 'Wonderwall' by Oasis is another one that carries vivid memories, I think the song is so beautiful and want it played at my wedding. Still to this day I love cheesy pop songs and would happily sit through all the Pop Party CDs which take me back 10 years!

10. Did you have a significant Halloween outfit?
I hated Halloween and I am still such a wuss now at 17 but I know I had a black and gold witch costume which I did like to bring back every year!

11. Share a funny story from your childhood?
There are countless stories I could share that have made me cry-laugh some of my favourites being as random as my cousin plaiting my hair and being able to pick the whole thing up by one loose strand to my Mum's terrible humming skills in our made up 'guess the song' game and many more.

12. Do you have any special keepsakes?
Although I still have a lot of my toys and photos from my childhood, I don't think there was anything particular that I would say is a 'keepsake'. This is one of the main reasons why I make my own scrapbook. I have never really had many 'proper' hobbies as I haven't ever been into sports or musical instruments and always used to stay at home doing crafty things so my scrapbook is kind of a hobby to me. I love the fact that in years to come I am going to be able to look back on these books full of photos and keepsakes as I feel it is so much more sentimental that just looking through photo albums on my phone/computer.

13. Was there anything weird you used to do as a child?
Not really that weird but I used to suck my thumb anywhere and everywhere??

14. What was the scariest thing that happened to you as a child?
I don't really think I went through anything too traumatic as a child but a couple of events that stand out in particular would be the time my dad got into road rage on a motorway which sounds trivial typing it now but I was only about 5 at the time and it was terrifying! I also remember dreading every Halloween as one year I answered the door to 2 teenagers dressed up; one in all black wearing the Scream mask and the other as Bart Simpson and practically screamed the house down!

15. How is the world different nowadays from when you were a child?
For me, I think that the fact internet has such a large effect on everyones everyday life is the thing that is most different as when I was younger we didn't have such immediate access to it and . I remember sitting down all day watching the music channels just to see one music video being played because I loved it so much but now it is only a couple of clicks away on YouTube and it can be played on repeat!

Top 5 Autumn Winter Lipsticks ~ LIPSTICKS

Hello there! Today I will be discussing my Top 5 lipsticks/colours/combinations for the Autumn Winter months. I couldn't place them in a particular order so have arranged the colours from reds to plums to nudes which means there should be something for everyone to try.... I have linked up each product to the online sites plus keep reading until the end to see the swatches of the colours!

- Blake Lively's Shade  // L'Oreal Reds Collection £6.99
I'm not much of a 'True Red' wearer as I find they look odd on my complexion however I feel this colour is going to be amazing for nights out when you having a more natural eye look on so can go for something more exciting on the lips! I love the formula of the L'Oreal lipsticks, they glide on so smoothly, have fantastic staying power and smell absolutely incredible which is rare for a lipstick haha! I have to admit I did pick up this shade because I am a lover of Gossip Girl however I think I will definitely go back and pick up more from the new L'Oreal Reds collection!

- 107 // Rimmel Kate Moss Collection £5.49
With its buildable deep red/pink berry shade is one of my most worn lipsticks for this time of year Rimmel Kate's 107. As I have quite light blue eyes, dark hair and rather pale skin this meant for such a long time I found it so difficult to find the perfect red that suits me and doesn't wash me out. So when I saw Zoella mention this product in a few of her videos last year I was literally screaming with excitement all the way to Boots to pick one of these up to try myself and the first time I wore it, I loved it almost instantly! The main thing I love about this lipstick is that you can wear it with a wide variety of make up looks as you can mute the colour down to make it look more of a natural red tint but also build it right up to be bold and more statement colour. At such a reasonable price, I think most people should have this lip colour in their make up bag this Autumn!

- Rebel // MAC £15.50
Rebel is probably one of my favourite lipsticks of all time and without doubt my favourite lip colour for Autumn and Winter. This lipstick is a Satin finish and is described as a 'mid-tonal cream plum' on the website. The main reason I love it so much is that the colour is so buildable and because of the Satin finish, it means the product always seems to go on without looking like a cakey mess on your lips but at the same time not Matte enough to dry your lips out. Personally I feel that even though this product is rather on the pricey side, it is a must for your Autumn/Winter make up bag as you can achieve such a wide variety of shades from a light berry to a deep pinky purple which looks great from day to night with so many outfits and eyeshadow colours!

- The Damned // Topshop £8
Up The Amp // MAC £15.50
Up The Amp is a light lavender tone but mixed with the darker coloured purple The Damned, I love the combination that these two gorgeous shades create! Purples are always statement shades in the Autumn but I love mixing things up to create my own colours. The formula the two create is so creamy but because The Damned is quite dark and I apply it first, it creates a kind of stain on the lips so means the colour has great lasting power! I love to wear this combination when my outfit is quite plain as it brings some colour!

- Vintage Pink // Rimmel £6.49
- Eva Longoria's Shade // L'Oreal Nudes Collection £8.19
Although I seemed to have mainly mentioned darker shades, I have also been loving having the odd nude lip day here and there. These two products look do look lovely on their own but together create a unique pinky-nude as they compliment each other so well and the vintage-y hues in the pink shade warm up the nude and make it less orange. I tend to wear this combination most when I have a more dramatic eye look or when I've gone for a more colourful outfit. As I mentioned earlier, I find the L'Oreal lipsticks have such a lovely formula so you don't have to worry about having a cake-y mess on your lips as they mix so smoothly!

SWATCH TIME...!

Blakes Red - Rimmel 107 - Rebel - The Damned & Up The Amp - Evas Nude &Vintage Pink

What's In My School Bag?

As you read the title of todays post I know many of you may be thinking 'but we went back to school a month ago?' but realistically, nobody has the same things in their bag that they took on the first day of school do they? (Well I know mine is significantly lighter than it was some weeks ago!) So here is my more realistic approach to the classic 'What's In My School Bag?'

Bag // Accessorise

I was originally looking for the 'Office City' bag but sadly Zara had changed their stock for the new season and I was a few months too late; so I was looking out for anything similar. I ended up finding this bag in Accessorise and paid £37 which I would say is quite pricey but I am hoping it will last the whole school year rather than having to buy a billion rubbish quality ones. I bought it way back in June as I didn't want to leave it and not be able to get it a few months later. So far I have been really impressed with it as it goes with all my outfits and fits loads in whilst being sturdy and practical! Sometimes it has a tendency to hurt my arm a little when I have a full day of lessons but overall it has been a great all rounder!

Now for the overview of the things I take to school with me everyday;

Purse // Primark
I always take a purse with me as although my bag has lots of pockets, I find it is a great way to store important things like my bus pass, money and house keys (it also means I can find them really quickly!) I absolutely adore the colour of it too, I always get so many compliments and people genuinely can't believe it's only from Primark haha!

Carmex Lip balm // Boots
Lip balm is an essential for me as I cannot stand having dry lips and there's nothing worse than forgetting your lip balm when you have a bad lip at school!

Gum // Poundland
Again, who goes to school without gum??? I know we are not allowed it in lessons but it's always nice to have at the beginning and end of the day or in between lessons to freshen up.

Mirror // Cath Kidston
I always carry a little mirror around with me because not a day goes past when nobody asks for one!

Hand Sanitiser // Bath and Bodyworks
I always take a hand sanitiser everywhere with me as sometimes the toilet soap isn't all that nice and so I always use this after washing my hands just to feel clean. The Bath and Bodyworks ones are great to just chuck in your bag as they are so compact and smell divine!

Pencil Case // Home Bargains
For years I would take the most extravagant pencil case 'just because I could' and I loved stationary but this year I decided to downsize a little with a little simple one. I love the pattern and it fits all my stuff in; what more could you ask for?
-Glue ~ I take Textiles so I always like to have my own glue with me however they always come in handy in all lessons!
-Memory Stick ~ These are great for saving your work or research on, transferring things from home to school (&vice versa) and storing the classwork presentations/extra materials on if you would like to go over the lesson again at home.
-Rubber ~ I don't really use it much but how could you leave it out?
-Highlighters ~ I LOVE highlighters and bringing colour to my work as it really helps me learn
-Pens ~ I like to take a range of pens as I tend to change what I'm comfortable with every lesson and I like to be the one to offer out my things rather than ask to borrow someone else's if my pen brakes!
-Pencils ~ Pencils, although aren't used the most, are another essential. I tend to go for the mechanical ones as they last the longest and you don't have to sharpen them (yes it's lazy of me!)
-Tippex ~ Everybody makes mistakes!
-Ruler ~ Another thing that isn't needed as much this year but I couldn't come to school without it.

Impulse Body Spray // Boots
Body sprays are great way to freshen up throughout the day as they are so cheap, light, fresh and super easy to chuck in your bag. My favourite at the moment has been the impulse one called 'Sweet Smile' which is a gorgeous fruity scent and boots always seem to have them on offer!

Dove Deodorant // Boots
I always carry a mini deodorant with me just incase it's really hot at school or I am going out afterwards and don't have time to go home.

Tissues // Home Bargains
Tissues are something that have many uses and better to have on hand rather than to have to hunt for them. I love the cutesy print on the packet and at only 12p these packets are a complete bargain!

Mini Diary // Paperchase
Although I do use the homework diary provided by my school, I also like to carry a personal one around with me to plan my evenings & weekend schedules, coursework and blog posts better as I love to take down loads of notes and lists about everything.

Tangle Teezer // TKMaxx
I have quite long hair which I tend to wear down quite often so I always need a hairbrush to keep the tangles under control or to neaten it up before I chuck it up if I've had enough of it haha!

Make Up Bag // WHSmiths
My make up bag holds all my essential other bits such as ladies things, hair bits and obviously make up! (I will be doing a What's In My School Make Up Bag/ School Make Up Routine in a couple of weeks, I just have to find a time when lighting is good as my school mornings are very busy, so watch out for that!)

Folder // Paperchase
This folder is a representation of my books (couldn't fit them all in the photo) which are probably the most important item, I like to have pretty patterned ones as I carry my folders around! Paperchase always have nice ones and luckily I got mine in the sales too!

Phone
Not much to say apart from this is the thing I never leave the house without!

Earphones
Finally, another item I never forget are my earphones they are used for all types of bus journeys and to chill out to whilst I'm working in my study periods; safe to say without them, I would genuinely be lost!

I hope you enjoyed tonights post, comment below something you never go to school without and as always, check out my social media links if you haven't already and if you would like you can follow me on Bloglovin' to get my posts as soon as I upload them!
Hope you've all had a lovely weekend!
